Al's Top 25
- Alabama (10-0, better non-conference gets them the nod over Florida)
- Florida (10-0)
- Cincinnati (10-0, wins over Rutgers, Oregon State, West Virginia)
- Texas (10-0, weak non-conference plus Big 12 has plummeted in talent)
- TCU (10-0, after watching the first half against Utah, I wanted to put them higher, but they’ve played weaker competition)
- Boise State (10-0, Oregon victory can’t penetrate the top 5)
- Georgia Tech (10-1, Tech gets the nod over Pitt because they lost to Miami)
- Pittsburgh (9-1, an early season loss to NC State is costing the Panthers dearly)
- LSU (8-2, only two losses to top 2 teams)
- Ohio State (9-2, can keep Michigan from a bowl game with a win)
- Oregon (8-2, win over USC looks less impressive, but loss to Stanford doesn’t look too bad)
- Iowa (9-2, despite two late losses, a win this week could earn the Hawkeyes a BCS birth)
- Oklahoma State (8-2, pretty good season given all that the Cowboys have lost)
- Stanford (7-3, Pac-10 is the best conference in country this year, and the Cardinal are the hottest team in the conference)
- Penn State (9-2, at least they don’t lose games to inferior opponents)
- Wisconsin (8-2, the same can be said for the Badgers, who are having the least exciting 8-2 season in the country)
- Utah (8-2, TCU smackdown hurts, but the Utes are still a good football team)
- Virginia Tech (7-3, the Hokies still have wins over the Huskers and Hurricanes)
- Navy (8-3, phenomenal season by the midshipmen)
- USC (7-3, USC could still win the Pac-10 with a 5 way tie for first at 6-3 in league play)
- Oregon State (7-3, the Beavers control their own destiny in the Pac-10)
- Nebraska (7-3, the Huskers play for the Big 12 North title on Saturday vs. Kansas State)
- Rutgers 7-2 (Big East is fairly deep as well)
- BYU (8-2, Cougars were first team to expose the Sooners)
- Clemson (7-3, I’m not buying it, but there really isn’t anyone else to put here).
